Our second Akita Inu (or American Akita in this case, if you prefer). What a gorgeous breed! And such soft fur. This one had a patch of fur shaved near the tail, probably for some medical reason, but other than that was very lushly furred.

Apparently most Akitas are kind of shy or standoffish. As you can probably tell from the picture, that wasn't the case here.
Look at the size of those paws. Also, if you look closely at his eye, you can see that he's looking at me out of the corner of his eye.
Heehee. He must have blinked, just as I shot this picture.
