Dog of the Day: Bella the 5-Month-Old Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy

I choose to believe that Bella is named after Bella Wineries. (What’s that? LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU.)

By the way: if you like hockey, sounds like there’s an event for you coming up. The San Francisco Bulls are hosting the first-ever “Pucks and Paws” event this coming Sunday. Get an advance ticket, bring your dog, and you can proudly parade your pup around the ring during intermission. All pups in attendance get a free dog bowl. Pretty cool.

[Edit: Another day, another late post. WordPress has been very responsive as an organization, first suggesting that I change a setting that doesn’t even exist in my installation and then not responding at all. I guess we’ll see what happens.]

Bella’s going to be a smallish ridgeback, but even a smallish one is pretty big.

Rapid head-turn. You can tell because the ear is flopping outward.

Autumn needed a hug, and Bella was only too happy to provide.

Unfortunate placement of that woman’s foot. Still cute though.

Is it weird that I can see the veins on that ear, and I still find it utterly adorable?
