That is definitely an eurasier. Possibly a mix. You don’t really see these as rescues, the breeders almost always take the dog back if you can’t care for them anymore. But if it’s a mix, one generation removed from the breeder, that might explain it.
Sometimes these things happen. The owner dies and the heirs don’t know anything about the dog’s breeder. The owner moves a thousand miles away (common in SF, a city where the natives are outnumbered by the transplants by a great deal) and then loses touch with the breeder. Or whatever.
