Apparently her fur has always been like that… her head is double-coat, but her body is missing the guard hairs and only has the undercoat. Consequently, she has puppy-soft fur on her body.

    I call BS. From years of working with different breeders and owning and grooming dogs this is the look of repeated shaving of the body. Of double coated breeds the legs are mostly made up of guard hairs, while the face has both. If she truly was poorly bred and had a genetic problem it wouldn’t look so textbook.
