Gavina was tied up outside what is possibly the best truffle-maker in the city, XOX Truffles.

Our rescue dog looks exactly like the dog in the picture.
She looks like a pure bred Spinone.
The puzzling thing is that she is one year old and only half the size of this dog.
We have researched this breed and our Dolly has the same given personality traits.
Are you aware of a miniature version of the Spinone Italiano?
The information given to us concerning her parentage from the rescue agency was sketchy.
Any information you might have would be appreciated.

Wow! No, I have never heard of such a thing. I’ve only ever run into two Spinone, aside from a few I saw at dog shows, and they’ve all been this size.
I have, however, certainly seen dogs that were half and half, where they looked just like one parent, but smaller or larger. For example, I have seen a golden retriever/poodle that looked exactly like a miniature golden retriever. So perhaps your dog is half Spinone, mixed with something that is smaller and not too dissimilar… perhaps a terrier of some sort?
