Dog of the Day: Lincoln the Birthday Boy

Lincoln the Lab, the wonderful wonderful Lab! I am posting this the evening before Lincoln’s birthday, since he was born on the 24th of February, three years ago. This is especially neat because it’s the day before my birthday, February 25th. Although I admit I am a bit older than three, or even 21 in dog years.

Also, I am very sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but one of Autumn’s family’s pups has passed away, heartbreakingly young for a golden retriever. Send condolences in the comments, I’ll be sure she gets them.

Obedient Yellow Labrador Retriever Sitting

I sure hope someone is going to get a birthday party!

Happy Yellow Labrador Retriever

I ran into Lincoln and his mom on the Balboa Peninsula, near the “Fun Zone”. He sure seemed to be having fun, anyway!

Lincoln loved meeting you, too, Adam and yes, he will have a little birthday party.

And we are very sorry for Autumn’s loss.

Please share our condolences with Autumn. It is especially hard when our buddies are young and we feel such a loss for the years we should have had. Golden Retrievers are one of the world’s most special dogs (they do not know they are not people) and, sadly, have their health issues.

    So sorry!

I’ll do that. Goldens really are special, and Roxie was a prime example of the breed. I’m going to see if I can get some good pictures from Autumn so I can post a memorial next week.
