beau, more blond than most Skyes

    • Rebecca Hairgrove, DVM says:

I may have a blonde Skye. MyBuddy rescued me August 2017. He was thin and abused. I am an older retired veterinarian and he certainly stopped at the right home. He is a lap dog who is possessive, protective, and playful. I may send off his dna but I neutered him and he has a home forever

You have any pictures online? Feel free to leave some links in a comment: I might be able to help with the ID.

        • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

I don’t do Facebook or other forms of social media. I have plenty of pictures. I’ll try to post some. Thanks

          • Adam Lang says:

Imgur.com is a good site for posting pictures. Simple, and doesn’t require you to share them with anyone in particular, you can just upload them and then give people the link and only the people you give the link to can see ’em.

          • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

            Thanks, I’ll try that tomorrow.

          • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

I created an account in Imgur.com I trying to send you the link. I have one video and twelve photos that are private/not public postings.

          • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

            Did you get the link?

          • Adam Lang says:

Sure did! Sorry, it screens links for me so that spammers don’t get all their ads through. (Over a hundred thousand spam posts a week on my little old blog. Sheesh.)

          • Adam Lang says:

Unfortunately, when I go to that page, it says ‘This user has no posts!’

Not quite sure what happened. Maybe you don’t have them set to be visible to other people?

          • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

I will go in and make them visible to public. I don’t think anyone will focus on horse dog and cat photos. Thank you for tour patience. It will be Saturday before I have the time to load the posts.

I moved photos to public rebeccahairgrove2718; do I need to send you another link? Thanks for your help.

          • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

            I got it done!

          • Adam Lang says:

What an adorable little muppet. And the video of him playing with the kitty is SO CUTE. They look like they’re best friends!

          • Rebecca Hairgrove says:

Thank you, Adam. I imagine he is a composite breed but I love him dearly. He is my constant companion. He came here house trained and leash trained. He loves cats and that orange and white cat showed up at about the same time. I live on a dead-end country road and my being a veterinarian subjects me to having dogs and cats (and a black goat) dumped here. Buddy is a mystery because he has been socialized and loved in his past. He loves road trips and rides in the Polaris Ranger. I haven’t had a house dog since 1995 but he is a welcome addition. I am his possession and he guard me from all perceived danger. In fact, Buddy will bite if he thinks I’m threatened.

I appreciate your help with Imgur and I thank you for your positive remarks. Where did you get your Skye terrier?

          • Adam Lang says:

Buddy sure looks like a full Skye to me!

Your life sounds pretty lovely, to me. A lot like the James Herriot books I read when I was a kid.

Unfortunately, Fia isn’t my pup, except inasmuch as I claim all of the dogs of San Francisco as ‘mine’. I have just run across her a couple of times over the last couple of years, and hopefully will again.
