Dog of the Day: Dante the Poodle

I met Dante and his mom, Francine Brevetti, on my jog to work one morning. I stopped her to get a few pictures of her pooch, and found out that she is a writer, writing coach, and ghost writer, who is currently working on a book about pets who sleep with their owners. Current working title: ‘Cat Naps and Doggie Snorts‘.

Dante himself is, if I recall correctly, a rescue from Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. He’s 10, but he’s a miniature poodle… he’s still got plenty of years left in him.

Mom called him ‘Dante’ because he’s an Italian writer, just like her.

Those ears. Do you think he stole them from a standard poodle, maybe?

A better look at one ridiculous ear.

Amazing close-up shot – great job Adam! Talk about cuteness overload : )

Yeah, I have made my love of dog-nose-all-up-in-your-bidnezz shots well-known, but that one came out better than most. I can’t claim any credit, though… Dante was the architect of that photo! 🙂
