I went to an Irish cultural festival today. Apparently great horned owls are part of Irish culture? Or maybe they’re just fans, like me. This one is an avian ambassador from Falcon’s Court, a nonprofit that does educational visits to schools with birds of prey. Apparently they mostly do them in SoCal, because up around here most of the schools that were involved stopped participating during COVID and never started again. Boo! (Boo who?)
