I know unsolicited free advice is generally worth what you pay for it, and that going around giving it out is unpopular. This has never stopped me before, and it’s not going to stop me today. My advice: drink lots of water.
I know the ‘eight cups of water a day’ thing is more or less a myth. I don’t care. If you drink enough water, you are much less likely to get kidney stones, which I am getting right now and holy crap are they unpleasant. (I’ve had them before. They are definitely less scary the second time around, but they’re no less painful.)
So have a doggie driver. I’m going to bed.
Sorry to hear about the stones…
‘Twas the only time I’ve ever seen my father cry.
I’ve had them before, much worse than this. And I’m pretty sure that even then, mine were on the mild side, given some of the stories I’ve heard. (I flat-out know I don’t have high pain tolerance.) But still… not something I’d wish on anyone, let alone myself.
