It’s been a long day. I spent about seven hours today working on upgrading the server this site is based on, and then getting the database working again, and then getting the web server working again, and then getting the blog software working again, and then getting all the bits of the blog software to actually work.
Linux on the desktop is always a year away, and always will be, because the people writing it fundamentally do not understand that it’s ‘usability, reliability, usability, usability, flexibility, usability, usability, performance.’
