Nino! I would not have guessed Ibizan hound, but once they told me it was obvious. Apparently he’s a rescued Taiwanese street dog, rescued when he was a puppy. He’s 1 year old now, and settling into his new life quite well, although he is still a wee bit skittish.

I’ve never seen an Ibizan Hound… or much of any sighthounds in Taiwan, to be honest. 😉 But that doesn’t mean they aren’t around! I’ve seen purebred Afghans, and Greyhounds, at least, who have landed in rescue before. Nino looks like a healthy, beautiful tugou to me, and I hope he’s having an awesome life.
My dog looks exactly like this one! But female.
I would love to see pictures, if there are any online. Those are some of the goofiest ears I have ever seen on a dog. 🙂
Mine too! But mine girl has one blue / one brown eye. We were told that she was an Australian Shephard/ Husky mix. I think because of her coloring. But she looks identical to this guy. Although her ears are large, I don’t think they are quite this large… lol
Hi,
My female dog (named Kyla) looks like him (he’s gorgeous) and as far as saw, Kyla’s mother was a mixed shepperd (also a stray dog) and the father was of unknown origin.
The mother, Kyla and her siblings was found in a river, inside a bag… left to drown (some “people” are just…)
When I adopt her was about 2 months old and her ears where obviously big but dropped down.
After the 5th-6th month the ear errect and until then she is my little bat-dog! With supersonic hearing… 😛 😛
I think I’ve left the album in facebook page public so there she is Kyla’s World
Cheers and take care!
Aww, she’s adorable! Those ears are awesome. Bet she loves having her tummy rubbed.
She is cute. When my girl, Mya was a pup.. her ears were large too. But I think she grew into them. lol Oh, and she also loves to have her tummy rubbed too…
Aww. Got any pictures? She sounds like a real charmer.
Adam,
My dog looks extremely similar. I was thinking australian kelpie because of the ears but now I am unsure. What is your dog’s temperament like? Mine is very energetic and needy.
Carrie
Those definitely line up with an Ibizan hound. Do you have any pictures of your dog online? Also, how big is he? Ibizan hounds (and most of the mixes I’ve seen) are really surprisingly large.
ok this is awful I can’t even figure out how to put a picture on here haha. dixie is not large, pretty average but very lean.
perhaps this will work?

Sorry, I should have answered earlier. Don’t feel bad, because there’s currently no way to post pictures on this site for commenters! (I had a bad experience with someone who uploaded several gigabytes of pictures earlier, so I disabled that.)
But I did a guide to sharing photos online in a different comment, here. You can upload the image to imgur.com, as it says in that comment, and then post the link to it in a comment here.
