Double Dog Day: Simba the Possible Plott Hound and Chihuahua Friend

Found these two interacting in Washington Square Park. They seemed to be having fun. Simba’s mom got him as an ‘unknown breed’ adoption, but someone who saw him said he might be a plott hound, and she looked online and said he looked just like them. I think I agree… if he’s not one, he’s an amazing lookalike.

WordPress is still misbehaving. I’m still working on it. Nothing new to report, except that the amount of time I’ve wasted messing around with it now exceeds 8 hours.

Apparently plott hounds were originally bred for hunting boar. Takes a heck of a dog: boar are nasty beasts.
