These guys are bulldogs (aka English bulldogs), not to be confused with Old English bulldogs (aka Olde Englishe Bulldogges). Or, for that matter, bulgogi, even if it is both old and English.
A few more pictures, after the break.
Edit: Wow, that was horribly edited. Not sure if I did that myself, or if the WordPress software somehow mangled the post. In either case, it’s what happens when I queue a bunch of stuff up and then go off on a trip. Should be fixed now… I hope.
Bulldogs always look ridiculous to me, but when they're in a posture like the one in front they're especially goofy.
Left: Deflated. Right: Half-inflated. Not shown: fully inflated, spherical, and floating two feet off the ground.
Closeup of the deflated state. Inflation pump is recommended, as mouth-to-mouth inflation can get drooly.
Closeup on the partially inflated bulldog model. Note extremely pendulous protective flaps to prevent air from escaping.
While rare, occasional self-inflation does occur.
Love your commentary on my bullies, Gordo and Capitan. Can you guess which is which?
Hee. Well, I have a 50/50 chance, right? Is the fully deflated one Gordo?
No Gords is the lighter one and Capi is the flat one!
