Puppy of the Day: Frida (Kahlo) the Dachshund
I feel like Frida Kahlo should be the name of a Chihuahua, or a Mexican street dog, or something like that, rather than an 8-week-old dachshund puppy. Nevertheless, I think we’ll allow it.
Dog of the Day: Lewis the Leonberger
Ran into a one-year-old Leonberger today. Lewis has a lot of style. Bought a used monitor for my trip, since the one I was planning on bringing down here… well, I did something dumb that is not interesting enough to … Continue reading
Dog of the Day: Otis the Basset With So Much Skin OMG
Otis is apparently a ‘European basset’, which means he has twice as much skin as a regular basset? I dunno. I just know he is very, very saggy.
Dog of the Day: Gertie the St. Bernard
Gertie, 2, is just as gentle a giant as you might imagine. Good thing, too, since if she leapt up on you, you’d know it!

I walked up to Sky’s dad and said ‘Wow, that’s a petite husky! Or is she still a puppy?’ And he told me that she was a fully-grown Pomsky, which, well, wow. For a Pomsky she’s huuuuuge! Skinny, though, under … Continue reading
Dog of the Day: Georgie the Goldendoodle
I have been remiss in my posts. So sorry! It’s complicated being a vagrant migrant temporarily displaced person, and taking care of a giant ball of goof and love is a task too! But I will soldier on. Today, say … Continue reading
Dog of the Day: Lulu the Mutt
I am dog-sitting! I’m in a lovely house in Berkeley, conveniently a block away from a hospital (just in case I klutz it up!) and two blocks from an apparently-very-good Ethiopian restaurant. We’ll try that in the next couple days. … Continue reading
Dog of the Day: Cosmo the Borzoi
Cosmo is a very aerodynamic space dog! He is also a three-year-old borzoi who loves everybody and is quite well-behaved. I was driving down the street and I saw Cosmo and his mom crossing the street and looked around but … Continue reading
Site News: A Few Days Off
I am having to (temporarily) move out of my apartment, and all my computer equipment is currently inaccessible, until I get into my temporary place.

Puppy of the Day: Fig the Klee Kai
Fig (6 months) is possibly the best name for a klee kai that I have ever heard, and Fig also has just about the most amazing markings of any klee kai I’ve ever seen.
