Dunno. Up ears, long body, short legs, black coloration (with a splash of white). I’d say he was a black German shepherd mix, but the face looks more Lab-like to me.
Anyway, cute!
Edit: Buster’s dad checked in below, almost two years after I first ran into Buster, and filled me in on his name. And the more I look at Buster the more I think maybe black German shepherd, not lab. Those ears, man. Those ears.

@ Rey, I just found today that’s the type of puppy i have and i wouldn’t change it for nothing in the world , she is a very smart puppy , love to be loved, likes to play, run. She’s a real joy to have around.

Haha. I just Google searched Corgi/ Lab mix and found images of my dog! His name is Buster and he’s amazing. We have no idea what kind of dog he is. He’s a rescue. You can see many more photos of him here.

I have a dog EXACTLY like that, I’ve always wondered what kind of dog she is besides corgi.
It’s a tough question: it could well be a corgi-lab mix, and the muzzle reminds me of a lab, but the ears remind me of a German shepherd. (Usually if you mix a floppy-eared dog with a pointy-eared dog, the ears come out somewhere in between.)
I had a corgi lab that was stolen from me that looked just like him. Is this dog available.

I realize this post is a little old, but I was searching for what our pup could possibly be. We got him when he was 8 weeks from a rescue and is now 8 months. He has transformed a lot in that time, but him and Buster could be twins! Our guess was always a lab/corgi once we saw more of his body type, but lately lean toward corgi-black shepherd bc of his big pointy ears and head shape. He’s a great dog!
A black german shepherd/corgi mix is perilously close to my ideal dog. Two super-awesome breeds right there. 🙂
My daughter brought home a rescue puppy. Told she was Australian sheppard and lab. No Way! This so her only has a little white on the tummy. would not give her up for anything!
also look up ‘black Australian kelpie’. i have one (and have had in the past) and has some similar features. black kelpie mixes are frequently mislabeled as black lab mixes as they are not very known in these parts.

That’s quite possible, I hadn’t really thought about it, although I have run into both Australian kelpies and kelpie mixes before.
He look almost identical to my Bentley Boy. I was told he was a Corgi Lab mix. Iwish I could attach a photo. The only difference is he has white plaws with black pocka dots. I hope you can see the photo.

I just lost my dog that looks EXACTLY like Buster! She was the best dog I ever had. I’d give anything to know if she was Corgi/Shepherd or Corgi/Lab; she had the sweetest personality–sweet like a Lab, but heel-nipper and protective like a Shepherd. I would pay almost any amount for her if I could only have her back!
