I got all sorts of information about this gal: her name is Onyx, and that the fur on her back is a little patchy and oddly patterned because she recently had back surgery to repair a herniated disc. What I didn’t get was her breed. We’re guessing dachshund mix, but if anyone wants to correct us, feel free to do so in the comments.

She was a real sweetheart, and moving around pretty well, but still obviously not yet fully recovered from her ordeal.
Despite the injury, she was still hyperkinetic. These are the only two non-blurry pictures of the 14 I took.
