Wow. Dancer is one of the most distinctive-looking dogs we’ve had on here. And at 13 years old, he still goes to work (with his dad, who is an architect) every day. He’s got an important job, keeping dad’s stress levels down.

I wish I knew how to post a photo. My dog “Dee” must be a Golden/Husky mix. Looks just like this but ears are not standing. She’s the sweetest dog in the whole world and I’m always excited to see similar looking dogs. Although she does not respond well to the “Come Command”.
If Dee looks anything like Dancer does, she’s a beautiful dog. Sounds like you’re lucky to have her!
I just rescued a puppy who I know is gonna look just like this when he is grown! Maybe not so red, he’s pretty blond but same face, same ears, same scruffy coat. I wonder how big this dog is? We’ve been curious since he’s a rescued mutt.
He’s pretty petite, actually. Maybe… 45-55 lbs? Smaller than your average golden retriever, certainly.
Any idea where the architect found this dog? My baby dog Morgan would have been the same age maybe a littermate?, looks like this boy’s twin, but Morgan passed away in 2010. Miss him more than I can say.
No, I have no idea where Dancer came from. And I’m sorry to hear about Morgan, but if he was anything like Dancer, you were lucky to have such an amazing dog.
Debbie I also had a dog who was the twin to Dancer. Ours died of cancer in 2010. Where did you get yours? Ours was adopted at the Hawaiian Humane Society, though could have come from the mainland prior.
I know this was posted many years ago, but Dancer is the absolute spitting image of our old, Golden/Husky mix, Baron who we adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society while stationed on O’ahu. He died in 2010 and would have been roughly the same age. I would not be surprised at all if they were littermates. I’ve looked at LOTS of similar mixes, but you could have fooled me and told me this was a photo of ours. Unbelievable to me!
Oh, wow, really? That’s pretty amazing. The pictures of Dancer were from ten years ago, but the second I saw your comment, even before I went to the page, I had a vivid mental image of him, because he’s one of the most distinctive dogs I’ve ever met.
If you do have some pictures, post them on a photo web site such as imgur.com or photobucket, and put up some links in a comment here? We’d love to see them!
