Oh nooooooo!
He looks so skinny. Hehe. Actually, it’s a little hard to tell — was he really shaven, or was he just brushed a LOT so he has no more undercoat?
People in Taiwan shave dogs of all breeds, and it was not uncommon to see Shibas shaved down to bare-nekkid skin. Unfortunately, it’s really not recommended for double-coated breeds. I’ve got pictures of shaved cats somewhere on a hard drive, too…
Do you have any pictures?
Naked Shiba Inus look like Basenjis to me. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of online examples of one.
I don’t have any pix of my own, but here’s a few:

Looks like most people might not be shaving down to bare skin anymore (the last one was a DIY job), which is… better.
I’m not 100% sure, but I do think I recall that he was shaved, not just well-brushed.
And yeah… double-coated breeds can end up with patchy coats if you buzz them down. Looks really goofy, and often quite sad. I seem to recall I posted one… hmm… yep, here.
