Quite a mouthful! Gorgeous little dog.

I am constantly amazed at how beautiful the merle coloration can be.

Hey, pup, didn't you see the 'no U turns' sign?

Tempted to photoshop out the foot. Then he'll look like a wiener dog with no feet.

Bassets and dachshunds: 2/3 of the triumverate of long dogs, captured in one photo!

Bassets always look sarcastic to me.

Basset Hound

If I had a basset hound I would spend all my time trying to figure out how to tie his ears under his chin.

Need pictures of a basset hound running. Maybe a high-speed video. Instant antidepressant.

Kat tamn, I have no idea how this post has gone… /five years/ without a single comment? In my tireless Googling for potential explanations of my dog’s breed, I happen upon all manner of pictures, and this one made my web-trawling day.

Here’s our little guy, Bosco: http://imgur.com/a/VLSr8

Thank you for your post. Those captions brought a smile to my face.

Very cute! We are thinking that there is definitely some shih tzu and poodle in your pup. We also think there might be some cross-breeding with prairie dog, because that is one ridiculous position Bosco likes to adopt. (I think I may see some Yorkie in there as well, but I’m not 100% sure, it’s just from a couple of the pictures.)

If you ever get one of those genetic tests done I’d be very interested to know what it says.
