Got about twenty pictures of Declan last weekend. Eighteen of them were blurry and two looked like this (only worse: this is after lots of screwing around with brightness and color.) But dammit, I want our first Irish setter, and Declan is an absolute adorable sweetheart that gives dog smooches, so to heck with it, you’re getting Declan whether you like him or not! (You’d like him if you met him, I promise.)
This doesn’t really do Declan justice. Maybe if we ask nicely we can get Declan’s family to give us a few more pictures of him?
Irish Setters are such adorable dogs! Declan is clearly no exception.
It’s amazing how few of them seem to be around. Everyone knows what they look like, they’re not one of those breeds that nobody has heard of… but somehow nobody seems to have one.
Yay! We made it on your site! Dec doesn’t look too happy in that picture, but he had a wonderful time walking the Filbert Steps and hanging out in North Beach. He was a bit hit that day (well, he’s a big hit every day–people get very nostalgic when encountering an Irish setter).
Oh, I see you asked for Declan pics–how would I submit them? I promise SF pics only.
(And yes indeed, he was begging for a North Beach baked-good treat.)
Well, two possibilities: one, you could upload them to a photo sharing site, like flickr.com or imgur.com, and just post links to them here. Or two, you could email them to me, at alang at this site (dogsofsf.com) and I could post them.
Either way, the higher resolution the better! (I’d say the cuter the better, but Declan has that one covered himself.)
I tried to send some photos from my phone but I seem to live in a black hole of some kind; I’ll try again tomorrow. I have a few cute pictures on my phone of Declan near Coit Tower and at Land’s End. Make me wish I still lived there…. If I could just win the lottery!
