I have a soft spot for gangly, awkward dogs with ridiculous ears. Okay, okay, I have a soft spot for most dogs, but you gotta admit, this guy is really something.
Rocco loves carrots. In this picture, he is being amazingly obedient. Because I have a carrot.
This is after he ate a carrot. You can almost see the thought bubble: Where there's one carrot, there may be two!

I can’t believe this.
We’ve had our Pit mix for two years now and struggled to figure out what his other half was. After seeing this I’m convinced he’s a pit/pharaoh hound mix.

Wow, that’s a gorgeous dog… he’s got the whole ‘looking noble’ thing down pat. You could well be right about the breed mix, too… hard to say for sure.

Awwww… that puppy pic is too cute! And I agree: he does look like he’s got pharaoh or a similar breed (Ibizan, Cirneco dell’Etna, etc) in him. The face, the ears, and the build all point that way. Bet he’s fast!
This looks just like my foster dog, Cleo (short for Cleopatra). She gets so many comments on her ears so I wanted to give her an Egyptian name since I swore she looked like a Pharoah Hound. She is also a Pit Mix–thanks for posting this! 🙂

She’s a sweetie pie of a dog.
Oh my god those ears are too awesome. It’s funny, her face totally looks pit bull, but there’s no way a pit could produce ears like those.
Here is an updated picture of Rocco, being super-regal looking while waiting patiently at his “drive through window”. He’s still a good boy, but he is bummed out by all this rain we are having lately!

Really? Where’d you get her? That’s a really rare mix, since you see so few pharaohs around, and even fewer of breeding age who aren’t neutered.
