I have a soft spot for gangly, awkward dogs with ridiculous ears. Okay, okay, I have a soft spot for most dogs, but you gotta admit, this guy is really something.

this looks just like my rescue dog. i was trying to figure out what she was, so thanks!
I have a pitbull/pharaoh hound mix puppy, she’s the cutest sweetest thing, sleeping on my chest at the moment 🙂
That dog looks exactly like my dog. NO JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then you, sir, have an awesome dog.
Does he like carrots? You should find out, if you don’t know already, and then report back. FOR SCIENCE!
I can’t believe this.
We’ve had our Pit mix for two years now and struggled to figure out what his other half was. After seeing this I’m convinced he’s a pit/pharaoh hound mix.
Could be! Do you have any pictures of him? I’d love to see them.
Here’s a picture of him, won’t let me insert it into the comment. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t1.0-9/1425700_10153531034500247_525558059_n.jpg
Wow, that’s a gorgeous dog… he’s got the whole ‘looking noble’ thing down pat. You could well be right about the breed mix, too… hard to say for sure.
Here are a few more images – difficult to say of course, we’ve considered many different breed mixes.
And this is him as a puppy:
Awwww… that puppy pic is too cute! And I agree: he does look like he’s got pharaoh or a similar breed (Ibizan, Cirneco dell’Etna, etc) in him. The face, the ears, and the build all point that way. Bet he’s fast!
This looks just like my foster dog, Cleo (short for Cleopatra). She gets so many comments on her ears so I wanted to give her an Egyptian name since I swore she looked like a Pharoah Hound. She is also a Pit Mix–thanks for posting this! 🙂
Awesome! Got any pictures of her online? Post a link or two!
I do! They are on my Facebook page–let me know if these don’t work.
She’s a sweetie pie of a dog.
Oh my god those ears are too awesome. It’s funny, her face totally looks pit bull, but there’s no way a pit could produce ears like those.
Here is an updated picture of Rocco, being super-regal looking while waiting patiently at his “drive through window”. He’s still a good boy, but he is bummed out by all this rain we are having lately!
I have never been able to find out what my baby is! I’m super convinced now that she’s this mix! So happy I found this
Yay! Any pictures of your pup online? Please post links, I’d love to see them!
How did this slip by me? SO CUTE!
Looks like my Luci-Anna
Really? What breed is she, do you know?
So cute! He and my sweet girl Dixie (Pharaoh Pit Mix) would be best friends 🤎
Really? Where’d you get her? That’s a really rare mix, since you see so few pharaohs around, and even fewer of breeding age who aren’t neutered.
Any pictures of your pup online? If so, please share links!
Here’s one from last year we took for our holiday greeting cards.
Aww! So sweet-looking! Does she like carrots?
I haven’t tried giving her carrots lol I’ll try that soon
Waiting with bated breath to find out the results of your carrot experiment!
