Shiba Inus may be the foxiest of dogs. I don’t mean they’re the most attractive (though they are in the running) but they may be the ones that look most like foxes. It’s a pity they’re so standoffish a lot of the time. This one wasn’t, though. He ran right up to me, tail a-wag, and said hello. (Two pictures this time.)
The world, I firmly believe, needs more highly social Shiba Inus.
![Here, this is my good side. Do you like my ears? I think they're my best feature. It took me a little while to get him to stop sniffing me long enough for me to get a good shot.](https://dogsofsf.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/IMG_1316-600x638.jpg)

![Here, get a full face shot. Oh... darn it. I blinked, didn't I? I think the Japanese word is 'kawaii'. The cute-overload word is 'squee!'](https://dogsofsf.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/IMG_13171-600x732.jpg)
