Dog of the Day: Vladimir the Siberian Husky/German Shepherd Mix

Aw man. Vlad has more awesome than any one dog deserves.

Vlad was pretty clearly loving the weather. It was chilly outside but quite sunny, and that seemed to suit him just fine.

Vlad was very attentive to his dad.

Wow – that is one handsome dog! He is awesome.

  2. I’m Vlademir’s lucky Companion Human. He takes me out every day and always treats me, his fellow animals, and all humans very well. He has taken us all into his pack, which is a very joyful place to be.

By a cosmic coincidence, they dat Vlad was chosen Dog of the Day was January 20. It marked the two year anniversary of his choosing Gail Vaughn and myself to go home with from the SPCA. We are honored to share our lives with this extraordinary being. Vlademir is, of course, The Buddha covered in fur. And he sends out blessings to the Universe every single day.

I’m afraid I have no idea. You might try responding to the comment above yours, though, since Arye is Vlad’s owner, and he might be watching that comment. Or you could check out his web site, linked from his name.

  5. Vlademir came to me through perfect timing at the San Francisco SPCA. Vlad, now over six years old, came to me as the amazing being he is. No issues, problems, or correction needed. And he remains glowingly healthy and joyous beyond expectation. Since adopting him, I’ve been introduced to many Huskies. I am aware that there is a adoption shelter that specializes in northern breeds. Several of the other Husky owners I’ve met speak highly of them. Here is a link to one such: http://www.norsled.org. There are others. If you are drawn to such a dog, do so. They are extraordinary.
