I got some pictures near the St Patrick’s Day Parade, and also this one (which was actually on St Patrick’s Day, which was a Monday this year) of a very celebratory Lily, 1. She has an instagram! Apparently she runs ATX, a large airport in Austin, Texas, so maybe ask her about that if you see her.
This bandana is so big on her that it might even make her even more than the usual 10% more awesome!
I was out earlier today grabbing some dinner and a new paperback to take my mind off of… gestures incoherently. And I ran into a Frenchie whose folks said she was named Lola, and I thought, ‘Gosh, I feel like I’ve run into a Frenchie named Lola before.’ And I went and looked, and sure enough, it was her… fifteen years ago! Sometimes I wish I could put my dog-remembering superpowers to work on something beneficial to humans, or dogs, or really anybody, but eh, I’d rather have ’em than not!
So yeah, here’s Lola again! And it’s her semi-birthday: her birthday is in exactly six months, so she’s fifteen and a half today! Wish her a happy day with me, would you?
She’s a little blind (but not terribly), and a little deaf (but not too much), but she seems to be enjoying life, and she sure is a lot more polite with other dogs than she was ten years ago!I was terribly offended that she didn’t seem to remember ME, though. Just hearbroken.
Archie is a crazy 4-month-old golden retriever with a very active imagination. And tongue. I spotted him from a block away, walking away from me, and I was like, ‘oh damn I am never going to catch up’. So I went into a food store. And came out again like ten minutes later, and he was BACK!
He spent a fair minute or two dancing with his reflection. The coloration is ‘English cream’. Mmm. Makes me think of scones.Just as goofy as any other golden puppy.
The building right next to where I took Friday’s picture, this place is one I have to stop to look at every time I walk by. I just find it so fascinating, especially with the contrast of the 1920s building in the foreground and the 2020s (and a bit before) buildings in the background.
Rue is 7 months old. I thought it was ‘Roo’ but apparently it was ‘Rue’. I just hope she was named after the plant and not ‘I rue the day I ever tried to keep up with a golden retriever puppy’.
Treats could get Rue to sit……2, 3, 4, 5……for about five seconds. Not bad for a 7-month-old golden! If only I were too cute for anyone to stay annoyed at for long.
I ran into Bailey and I thought, “Gee, that name on a fluffy corgi seems familiar” but it turns out that was twelve years ago and this Bailey is only six years old.
Someone is very optimistic, whenever she sees a new person. To be fair, she has reason to be.She got TWO people to give her belly rubs while I was standing there. NOT COUNTING ME.Such a happy pupper.
