This guy wasn’t spooked or shy or anything, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog with his ears shoved this far back before. C’mon, little guy, what gives?
He was sitting directly in the way of a door into a deli. Couldn’t open without him moving.
I have this feeling that this wasn’t QUITE where he’d been left.
Coco, also known as @sf_whoodle on da instant-grahams, came and visited us poor dog-deprived people in our new office. Our old office had occasional doggie visitors, Henry and Greyson, but we have not been so lucky in our new place. Until Coco, who apparently is a regular downstairs from us, came by to say hello.
Does anyone else think it should be ‘Wootle?’
I love it when the dog is holding still, but the human is moving too fast for the camera.

I saw this outside my company’s new HQ, less than a week into our use of the space. I just had to get a picture, especially after I saw its license plate.
The Volkswagen Thing. Not exactly reliable. With a reputation for attracting rust like the waste bin at McDonalds attracts flies. Mainly notable for how easy it is to go crashing through the windshield even if it IS up (which it is not in this picture).
And yet, strangely awesome. Especially when named ‘Roofles’.
In an effort to make getting a bunch of stuff done today a little more palatable, I went over and hung out at KitTea’s little tea lounge for a few hours. I got some stuff done, and I also got some cute cat pictures, of an obliging little kitten who came right up to the window in front of me and said hi.
The cats were on a 5 minute break between visitors when these were taken. This little guy couldn’t wait!
White whiskers! Someone there compared them to ‘curb feelers for a cat’.
Okay, I am calling an emergency puppy day. To follow yesterday’s emergency puppy day. It has been a very, very long week, and what with the night class and the day work and all the stuff I have to do on weekends to keep up with the rest of my life, plus schoolwork over the weekends, I am beginning to wonder if I may have bitten off a wee bit more than I can chew. Time will tell.
So meet Myka, the emergency puppy. She was 9 weeks old when these pictures were taken, and she had the most hilarious case of ‘bed ears’ that you have ever seen.
He had just gotten her a few days before these pictures were taken.
The ears. The feets. The tongue. OMG I JUST CANNOT EVEN.
May I introduce Sunny, also known as @sunshinewithachanceofmeatballs on Instagram. She was 5 months old when I took these photos, and was tough to photograph. Partly it was because she was so wiggly, but it was also because I was dogsitting a dog who wasn’t so great with other dogs. This meant that I had to stay on the other side of a fence from Sunny. Finally, Sunny’s mom just held her up to the fence for me to photograph.
As a bonus, I got to boop that cute snoot.
I was walking down Chestnut Street, and I ran across this Berner, tied up outside a restaurant. And everyone who walked by was stopping to pet her. And then I went into a restaurant myself, and an hour and a half later I came out and there she was, about fifty feet further down the street, flumped out on her back and letting people rub her belly. I swear, you have a dog this awesome and it takes you all day to get ANYWHERE in this city.
I feel like Berners have gotten more popular here just since I’ve been doing this blog.

I feel sorry for all the dogs in the suburbs who only get petted by maybe four or five people a day. 🙂
I didn’t catch this pup’s name, but as you can see from the pictures, this is the pub dog at the Bus Stop Saloon in Cow Hollow. (I’ve seen the little nose peeking out of there often enough that if it isn’t an official title, it probably should be.)

There is absolutely nothing unusual about this pup. It’s just the coloration and the eye color that look… a little… well, like someone used a ‘swirl’ effect.
I refuse to call them… what everyone else calls them. It’s just too undignified. Then again, they aren’t exactly dignified dogs: Baker is 8 months old, and boy is he a handful. Sweet, though!
I totally had him pegged as a goldendoodle puppy.

I’d like you to meet Bacon, aka ‘Australian Bacon’. My notes, and his Instagram profile, say that he is a mini Aussie. They also say that he was 9 months old when I took these pictures. I’m going to tell you right now, this ‘mini Aussie’ is bigger that a lot of full-sized Aussies I’ve run across.
A beautiful pup, amazingly photogenic, and with such cute little boots!
I have another half dozen pictures of this yawn, but I’ll spare you them. They’re all just as cute as this one, though.
I don’t get shots like this one very often. I only wish the guy was facing me too.
