I stopped by a local Howl-O-Ween celebration last weekend. All (almost all?) of the costumes were store bought, but some of them were still pretty funny! Sorry, too many pics to caption or hovertext today! Also, I am trying something new: this is a LOT of pictures, so I’m trying an image gallery instead of individual pictures. Let’s see what happens!
Edit: Hmm. Not sure if I like it. I’ve also added a slide-show below, if you want to see the pictures closer-up!
River, also known as River The Cinnamon Pomsky on Instagram, is a max-dorbs 4 year old pupper with a whole lotta spunk!
She lost an eye, and now it looks like she is ALWAYS giving the world a saucy wink. She looks totally chill here. She is not. She is manic. But super fun!
That’s a lot of Ps: Petey the Pekingese Puppy. Petey is 10 months old, and was adopted from the Love and Second Chances Rescue. Lucky Petey, he got a little of each!
I almost missed him, he barely had his head out until I said hello.Definitely got the ‘I AM SOOOO NEGLECTED’ look down pat.
There’s a local coop in San Francisco called Rainbow Grocery. Neat place, great food, vegetarian but thank goodness not vegan. (GREAT cheese selection!)
They’re also a bunch of smartasses who like hiding things for people to find around Halloween.
I especially like the last one: skullcap vs. skulldecap.
In the fine and friendly San Francisco neighborhood of Noe Valley there is a glorious little chocolate shop. Whenever I get down to the area, I always drop by and spend slightly too much money, because chocolate is one of my major weaknesses. But what I didn’t know was that some of the people there are also involved with Rocket Dog Rescue. So last Tuesday when I went by, I discovered that there were several dogs in attendance.
Including this utterly ridiculous specimen! Meet Moonshine, a 4-month-old female German shepherd hound mix of some description or other. She is very good-natured and somewhat better-behaved than you might expect of a four-month-old, but still with plenty of puppy energy and SO. MUCH. LOVE.
Also ALL the ears. SO MUCH EARS.
Go on. You know you want to adopt Moonshine. Go check out the rescue site!
I feel like she probably can’t run very fast, because those things act like parachutes! Why am I still working in software when I could be cleaning up after Moonshine? I wouldn’t even mind scrubbing the floor. The rewards are well worth it!
Baby-Girl (4) is an adorable mutt of uncertain provenance but absolutely certain awesominitude!
She was just being mellow and hanging out with dad. He wasn’t trying to hold onto her or anything, she was just enjoying cuddling up.Those eyes. I would give Baby-Girl just about anything she wanted, guaranteed.
I was a bad person… I took Joey’s picture on October 11th, and recorded that he turns 3 on October 15th, and then… missed his birthday! Well, you’ll just have to settle for being a caturday special: happy birthday, Joey, and many happy returns!
I met this spotty lady in San Francisco Maritime Mark (in front of Ghirardelli square), where her folks were watching the air show. I also got pictures of her brother, who I will try even harder to post on HIS birthday.
