Milo (male, 3) is a little chilly sometimes, hence the jacket.

Voltaire’s folks decided they loved the name, and it’s not like there’re a whole lot of people named Voltaire out there, male or female. So let’s hear it for this fifteen-year-old pup!
My brain has definitely not been behaving itself for the past couple weeks. Very strange time. Very strange brain, too… but you knew that, if you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time.
Maya is an 8-year-old blue merle Chihuahua I ran into today in the Santa Cruz Mountains. My team from work rented an AirBNB down here for a team offsite last night and tonight, and went for a rather nice hike (1200+ foot vertical climb and drop, 6+ miles round trip). There were very few dogs, but the ones we did see were extra cute.
I ran into this kitty when I was down in Monterey. She was quite friendly, and seemed pretty disappointed when I stopped petting her to take some pictures.
Lexi is a 3-year-old miniature schnauzer. And you know what they say about schnauzers, right?
I ran into Nookie, pronounced New-Key, yesterday, when he turned 2 years old. And then I didn’t get home until 11 PM (went to a great concert in Berkeley!). So Nookie gets TWO birthday celebrations, one yesterday, at home, and one today, here!
Sarah! I know it’s hard to believe from this picture, but Sarah is old enough to apply for a learner’s permit in California! (For those of you from out of state, that makes her 15 years old!)
I don’t know if Kirby (f, 2) is named after the vacuum, but I have to say that that would be a great name for a lot of dogs I’ve known.
