This is the pup that belongs to a coworker of mine named Beau, who is the gentleman in the stripey shirt there. This summer, he brought her along to the company picnic, which is where I got these pictures.

She looks totally blissed out. Lucky pup: I have to pay a lot of money to get a massage that makes me look like that.
Just a guess. This little pup was at a micro-adoption-fair thingie when I walked by, and was being all bold and looking up and barking at people and sticking her tongue out and wagging and stuff, and then you’d put your hand down near her and she’d suddenly get all shy. So cute!

The ears, and the white poofly chest, are awfully cute. The dubious expression is simply ridiculous.
I had to go back and look at my old photos, but sure enough… I think we’ve seen this guy before. And in this case, at least, that’s surprising to me, since it was in two totally different neighborhoods, and both times he was carefully guarding a panel truck.

Haven’t we all, at one time or another, felt this way on the way in to work in the morning? Or in this guy’s case, in the afternoon? (He apparently works at a bar along Market Street west of Van Ness.)

Ran into this little cutie near the Ferry Building on the way to work last week. She is in foster care, and her mom was bringing her in to the city to be socialized, but nobody was fawning over her. Terrible! Fortunately, I was there to make a fool of myself and have my face licked like a good socializer.
If anyone reading this knows anyone who is looking for a pup to adopt, I highly recommend Widget. Drop a note in the comments and I’ll see if I can figure out how to get in touch with her foster mom.
She was super-hyper! Only one of my other pictures came out non-blurry, and it's basically identical to this one, so one is all you get today.
More usually called Miro, this guy is a very dignified, reserved dog. And he has a rather unusual marking on the right hand side of his face, which he may show us in one of the two pictures after the break… if we ask him nicely.
Haven't seen a lot of English setters, or even mixes, around San Francisco.
Another pit bull, this one demonstrating an advanced canine technique: trapping. It’s when a dog sits on your foot, or puts his head in your lap, or leans up against you and pins you against a wall, knowing that you’re too much of a sucker to move until you’ve petted him very, very thoroughly.
