Dog of the Day: Sheep-a-Doodle

I don’t have any notes on this pup, but I seem to vaguely recall that he or she is a sheepdog poodle mix.

Smiling Sheepadoodle — I’m starting to see more of these pups. Not sure if it’s a trend, but it’s a pretty awesome combination.

Dog of the Day: Bacchus the Smooth Fox Terrier Puppy

My notes say that Bacchus is 5 months old. They also say that he is a ‘smooth dox terrier’, and although he does look rather smooth, I’m pretty sure he’s not a ‘dox’.

Dog of the Day: Thyra the Norwegian Buhund

I talked to Thryra’s mom, and she said she was a ‘Finnish by-hund’, which I had never heard of before. It actually took me quite a while to find the ‘Norwegian buhund’ using only that as a clue. Thyra is our first!

Dog of the Day: Esme the Cirneco dell’Etna

I saw Esme (1) and thought ‘oh wow it’s a Pharaoh hound!’ But it turns out no, she’s an entirely new breed for me. Remarkable how much they look like Pharaoh hounds.
