So last weekend I dog-and-cat-sat for an adorable pair. This is one half of the two: an adorable basenji Australian kelpie mix named Lucy.
She was so super-cute, all waving at me.
Even if she did steal an entire bag of treats before I got there and eat them, and then spend most of the day with a tummy-ache.
I took her out for a walk. She took me straight to where her dad works, probably in the hopes he could make her feel better. When she couldn’t get in, she tried to take me to where her mom works.
Her nose was warm and dry for a while. I think it was just the tummy troubles.
Don’t worry, I didn’t leave the blanket on for long.
I can confirm Lucy felt much better the next day. Also, we won’t make the mistake again of leaving treats on the countertop where her cat brother/accomplice can knock them down for her.
We love the photos. Thank you!
I wish I had a brother like that when I was younger and hungrier!
And I’m glad you like them. I liked taking them. 🙂
Hey there! Not sure if you’re listening in on this post or not, but there’s someone down below who has a question about Lucy.
Hi There,
I am thinking of adopting a Basenji Australian Kelpie Mix with the hope that he will be hypoallergenic (Basenji’s are) How would you say the allergy level of sufferers are around sweet Lucy? Does she shed?
Thank you!
Does mixing a basenji with a kelpie heighten a couple of the more dingo characteristics like the white tipped tailed.
Good question! I don’t know all that much about the combination, I’m afraid.
