Winston will always be a name for an English bulldog to me. But Winston here has some of the wrinkles, albeit his are on his forehead.
Mazie didn’t like the look of me, so she turned me upside down. It seemed to help.
Kai is just about the least concerned basenji ever. How can I tell? She doesn’t have the forehead wrinkles! What she does have, however, is an instagram page that contains at least one schnozz-only shot.

According to the breed standard, basenjis are standoffish and wary of strangers, and have an inherent distrust of anything new or different. Mmhm.
So last weekend I dog-and-cat-sat for an adorable pair. This is one half of the two: an adorable basenji Australian kelpie mix named Lucy.
