I just ran into Flippy today, and guess what: it’s his eighth birthday! So everyone say happy birthday to Flippy for me, will you?
For some reason, huskies seem to be named after Norse gods a lot more often than any other breed. I’m guessing it’s some combination of the ‘cold weather’ connection and the fact that they simply are that awesome.
German shepherds are a glamorous breed, but Kodiak (3, male) is a particularly glamorous specimen.

Ru, not Roo. Who is ‘too cute’, not ‘two coot’. A year and a half old, and full Aussie.
Hump Dog Day. In particular, this one was a canine speed bump, just waiting for happy hour.
It’s funny, I now know of three different hair salons with dogs, and they’re all huskies.
Gus is a mystery dog. He’s around 5, and definitely has some Aussie in him. Dad has guessed that he also has some Labrador retriever and some white shepherd, and I can’t argue. But he’s definitely an amalgam. Of awesome.
