Dog of the Day: Rilley the Shepherd Shepherd Shepherd!

Rilley is 5 months old, and is named after a character from Confederacy of Dunces. He is not a dunce (and the Rilley from the book is not, in fact, one of the dunces for which the book is named). What he is is a mix of a wide variety of herd-ivorous caninity: Australian shepherd, German shepherd, and probably at least a couple other herding dogs as well. And if his current size and floofy feet are anything to go on, he’s gonna be a biggun!

Dog of the Day: Jojo (AKA Get Back Jojo) the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Puppy

How did I not know that the name of that Beatles song was ‘Get Back Jojo’? I always thought they were saying ‘Georgia’ and it never once occurred to me to wonder why the guy’s name was Georgia.

Anyway, Jojo was 7 months old in these pictures. Too many great ones for captions or hovertext, so you just get a big honking photogenic photo-tastic photodump!

I saw Posey (4, a girl) and said “Oh, a Welsh terrier? Er, I mean an Irish, er, wait…” But no, Posey is our first grown-up Lakeland terrier, although we did have one pretty adorable puppy a while back.
