I ran into someone carrying her two cats home from the groomer. Her two shaved-except-for-the-head cats. Unfortunately, most of the pictures didn’t come out very well, but I think you can get the general idea from this one.
I think they were more upset about being outside in the carriers than they were about being shaved.
I first ran into these two playing together, and the vast majority of the pictures I took of them came out blurry. But I ran into Nala again today, and I went back through the pile of pictures and I found a few that were just fine.
The both of them are one year old, and equally playful. And they’re both Airbnb dogs, too, so they get to play with one another quite a bit.
Hotpot isn’t in too often, but I’ve seen him a few times.
He’s got the typical corgi attitude.
I have forty or fifty pictures of these two playing. This one is the non-blurry one.
Samoyeds are absolute past masters of the ‘dignified dog’ attitude.
So dignified, yet so poofly.
They also have a pretty good track record when it comes to looking happy.
Glum is also in their repertoire.

Things seem to be working around here, and Koi (2) has cautiously emerged from his little haven. He might duck back there if anything else goes wrong, though. Or anyone looks at him in a mean way, or someone accidentally drops a fork.
But not if someone drops a potato chip.
Welp. Another four hours of work on the site later, I think I’ve got ALMOST all of it working, some of it possibly even better than it was before. If anyone sees any problems, please let me know. Especially if you see super-slow loading times… I quit my browser and restarted it and they went away, but I want to make sure nobody else sees them now either.
Hans doesn’t care about servers. He does care about you. And food. But mostly you.
Autumn and I ran into Hans at the restaurant next to the one we were headed for. He was all perked up!
When we left, he was still there… but possibly a bit less thrilled to be there.
It’s been a long day. I spent about seven hours today working on upgrading the server this site is based on, and then getting the database working again, and then getting the web server working again, and then getting the blog software working again, and then getting all the bits of the blog software to actually work.
Linux on the desktop is always a year away, and always will be, because the people writing it fundamentally do not understand that it’s ‘usability, reliability, usability, usability, flexibility, usability, usability, performance.’

I’ve rarely seen a corgi with a black mask like that.
