Autumn was driving down the road in Ireland the other day and she saw a big bird in the road. Who hopped out of the way, rather than flew. So she went and grabbed a local friend and captured it and took it to a wildlife rehab place.

Rua is a kitty sent in by our roving reporter in Ireland (Autumn). According to Autumn, Rua is ‘very sweet but turns to evil quickly’. According to the Irish language, Rua’s name means ‘red’. According to me, EEEEE FLUFFY KITTY EEEEE!

Dog of the Day: Wheelie the Poodle Repeat Customer

Wheelie! Wheelie is 14, and I’ve taken pictures of him several times before, starting literally a decade ago. Even though he’s reeeeeally tough to photograph, I even managed to post him once before. But I still didn’t remember him when I saw her a couple of weeks ago. I am such a bad person.

New Breed of the Day: Anjee the Pyrenean Sheepdog

Just when I think I’ve seen every breed that’s out there in this wide world of ours, I run into something new. Anjee (4) is a new one on me! Pyrenean sheepdogs are the siblings of the Great Pyrenees: the Great is a livestock guard dog, and the shepherd is for herding. So. Awesome. But I don’t get why there aren’t more Anjees floating around out here. The breed is smart and friendly and (I’d guess) not nearly as stubborn as the Great Pyrenees.

Double Dog Day: Juneau the German Shepherd and Gracie the German Shepherd Mix

Juneau is, despite the name, not a malamute mix, she is a four year old German shepherd. Her friend, Gracie (6), is mostly German shepherd, but she’s a quarter Australian shepherd.
