Dog of the Day: Oh What The Heck Another Lexi The Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Guess what? I ran into ANOTHER CORGI yesterday morning, while jogging to work, just three blocks away from my apartment. And I think this one was just in the process of moving to the neighborhood. And her name was Lexi, just like a certain other corgi who we’ve seen lately. So I really feel like I ought to welcome her to the neighborhood.

But this is the last corgi for this corgi week-and-a-half! Really! (Unless I run into another one tomorrow. Or something else happens. But probably really!)

Very happy. Also maaaaaybe a little derpy.

Lexi did a little barking, but it was obviously of the ‘hello there’ variety.

The place they were moving into is a rather nice Nob Hill building.

Dog of the Day: Bonus Corgi And App Announcement!

Surprise! Corgi week AND A BIT continues! Today we have a little announcement from the famous Tidus. (He once smooched Clint Eastwood! No, really, see the comment on the bottom of this page.)

Tidus and his mom are close to releasing a new iPhone game! It’s called Honey Sweet, and it features Tidus in the role of SuperCorgi, who helps the main character (you!) in your adventures. Keep your eye on Dogs of SF in June, when we’ll be announcing the release of the game, and also how you can win some limited edition Tidus the SuperCorgi tee shirts and mugs.

So, let’s see, what shall I post first? How about first I post the promo art from Honey Sweet, and then I post a few pictures of the SuperCorg himself, being very happy about his impending stardom.

Dog of the Day: Nine-Week-Old Pembroke Welsh Corgi Puppy

Back a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I had chased a corgi puppy up a hill, at which time my phone ceased functioning. That was a frustrating day. I did get my phone working again, very briefly, during which I managed to take a few pictures. But it died again before I could record the name or age of this pup. I vaguely recall nine weeks, but who knows?

This will be the last post of corgi week, except for a special post tomorrow regarding a certain frequently-posted corgi and some friends of his, so stay tuned for that. And in the mean time, I bring you fifty pounds of cute in a four-and-a-half-pound pup.

Okay, so it’s a little blurry. I just couldn’t resist that face.

Emilio and this pup REALLY need to get together.

Dog of the Day: @emiliothecorgi

So I went out for another nice long walk today, and I ran into an adorable English bulldog puppy (whom you will encounter here presently, I promise.) And as I was taking pictures, someone walked a corgi by. And I was sad because that corgi vanished before I could get any pictures. But then later on I was happy again because I found a 5-month-old corgi puppy huddled under a table at an outdoor eatery. How lucky is that?

So today’s original corgi, while awesome, is now rescheduled, so we can bring you Emilio the 5-month-old Pembroke Welsh ‘capricorgi’, aka @emiliothecorgi on both Instagram and Twitter. I am reliably informed that Emilio does not like Twitter as much, although I was not informed as to why. After all, he is a very short dog, so very short tweets should not present him with much difficulty.

Eeee he’s got teensy little black eyebrows!

If you think these are cute, you should really go check out his instagram and twitter feeds. SO. ADORABLE.

Dog of the Day: Logan the Pembroke Welsh Corgi

It’s Friday, but this is not the last day of our corgi week by any means. Tomorrow will be a special non-caturday Saturday corgiday, and Sunday there will be something special and corgi-related. That’s right, a full seven days of corgulance!

And speaking of corgulance, this is Logan, who is all of two years old, and who is already famous, with his own Instagram page (‘logthecorgi‘) and everything. He is billed as ‘Derpiest Dog in San Francisco’, and although I don’t quite believe that, I would say that he definitely has his moments.

Logan was very, very hard to get pointed in the right direction.

I walked all the way around Logan trying to get him to face me, and I still mostly got his sides and the back of his head. I wonder how much of that was on purpose.

Dog of the Day: Lexi the Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Lexi is the other corgi I got pictures of yesterday. She and her dad were moving quickly, so I’m not sure if I even mentioned the blog to him. I think I just asked if I could take some pictures, took ’em, and then let the two of them go on their merry way. So if anyone knows Lexi’s dad maybe tell him that she’s ridiculously adorable and featured on my blog?

Dog of the Day: Lola the Pembroke Welsh Corgi

So… I said last week that I had gotten so many new corgi pictures recently that it was time to do a corgi week, right? Well, today I was out and about after work, heading over to a store to pick up something, and what happens? I run into two more corgis. Two! That is a record unmatched since, um, well, actually since two Fridays ago. But I digress.

This is Lola (7), as in ‘whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.’ I’ve run into Lola before, at least once — I remember because her dad and I walked along and had a talk about Internet email transmission protocols (don’t judge me) — but it was in the winter and I was on my way home from work and it was way too dark to take pictures of a corgi and hope to get anything good and and and waaaaaaah don’t blame me I’m so sorry!

Um. Right! Anyway. What Lola wanted, today, was to get her picture on DoSF. And what Lola wanted, Lola gets, viz.:

Corgi ‘tocks. Are the the most tocktacular ‘tocks in the land?

Lola was rather difficult to get (and keep) pointed in approximately the right direction.

That smile though.

Dog of the Day: Zoe the Pembroke Welsh Corgi

I apologize in advance for not being able to find any Cardigans for this week. I’ll keep looking, as I consider them every bit as awesome as Pembrokes. But in the mean time, Zoe (6) is well worth a look. I actually caught her twice, once three weeks ago and then again last week. She was in fine form both times, and as happy to see me as I was to see her.

Dog of the Day: Walter the Fluffy Pembroke Welsh Corgi

It’s corgi week! And you know what that means! (And if you don’t know what that means, I dunno, maybe get someone to explain it to you? I feel like it’s pretty straightforward, really.) To open on a strong note, I am leading off with one of the only three things that could make an AKC-certified corgi even more awesome: Walter is a fluffy Pembroke Welsh corgi, a corgi that has a pooflier-than-usual coat. They are softer, more huggable, shed even more than a regular corgi (how is that even possible??) and look even more utterly ridiculous (ditto!).

Incidentally, amazingly, this is not the first Walter the corgi we have seen on this blog. In fact, I use one of the pictures of the other Walter as a ‘gravitar’ in various places.

Someone likes being scratched under the chin very much. And more or less everywhere else, too.

Sunday Switchup: Donald Trump Grumpycat

I know, I know. This is not a political blog, I don’t post political stuff. But this isn’t political, I promise! I was just sitting down to use a coworker’s computer a few weeks ago and I looked down at the mouse pad, and choked. After recovering my breath, I asked ‘Was that intentional?’ And my coworker looked down and burst out into laughter too. “NO!” So I wasn’t the only one who recognized TrumpyCat.

Can I get a trademark on ‘TrumpyCat’, do you think? It’d make a hell of a tee shirt.
