Bella is a melange a trois (heh), and is only 3 years old, quite young to have mastered the ‘ohhh I am ever so tired so I will just lie here and hopefully you will rub my belly in sympathy’ posture.

I’ve been walking my dog-sitting charge around a large chunk of the local neighborhood and I have seen many, many cats. But I can’t get close enough to them to take their pictures because Zoey REALLY WANTS TO EAT THEM. Fortunately, Autumn is keeping me in Irish kitty pictures.
I ran into a bunch of tollers right in a row. That never happens! Even better: they all had adorable little white socks! Ivy (2) was the biggest, and boy is she photogenic.
I didn’t catch this little guy’s name, but isn’t he cute?
Dexter was the runt of the litter. Now, at age 5, he is 30 pounds (!) of pure muscle. Seriously, not an ounce of fat on the boy, and he is HUGE. I bet he generates more pulling power on a leash than the boxer I’m currently pup-sitting.
I’ve been a bit MIA this week. Mostly my fault although it didn’t help that:
a) I had to run to Sacramento because I’m dogsitting Zoey again, which meant getting up at 5:30 AM.
b) My phone’s charging port stopped working so it was pretty tough to get photos off of it, plus my normal white noise app is on my phone so I had to use my laptop instead.
c) Some (unprintable) person who posts ‘sleep sounds’ on youtube decided that having theirs play commercials after five hours of runtime was a great idea. (You’ve never lived until you’ve been awakened from a sound sleep by someone telling you that your soft drugs might be full of fentanyl. I never got back to sleep, so that was a four-hour night of sleep, lovely.)
d) Work stress. It is cool being the ‘super-duper expert’ on something, right up until that thing goes nuts and you have no idea why.
Still, though, no excuse, because I have all sorts of cute pictures. Including some new ones of Zoey!
George? Well, I’ll allow it! George is 5 and is definitely part Chihuahua, but nobody’s quite sure about the other half. ‘Maybe some kind of terrier’. All rightie then.
