Jemma is four. She’s been having some back problems lately, and recently had IVDD surgery, and I am happy to report that she is recovering nicely, and seems quite happy with the results. And with more or less everything else.

Puppy of the Day: Chihuahua Mix

I went to a trade show today. It had a lot of computers and people and booths and sessions and stuff. They were boring. It also had a small enclosure with a dozen puppies running around in it. Apparently there is a local rescue/adoption place/company/I dunno that will bring puppies to your event in exchange for money, and also adopts them out. I approve!

Anyway I maaaaay have spent slightly more time in there than was, strictly speaking, allotted to it in my schedule.

WORTH IT.

Dog of the Day: Nico the Repeat Customer Great Dane

Nico! Nico is a Great Dane! Nico is 11! Wow! I ran into Nico before, but in that instance I did not discover that Nico has convertible ears. I do not think I’ve ever seen a Dane that can get his ears up this far. Silly Nico!

Autumn sent me one more bird from Ireland: this is a barn owl, which is known in the Irish language as a “Scréachóg reilige”, or “graveyard screecher”. I dunno, I think “barn owl” seems a little more… dignified, somehow.
