I saw this gorgeous pup at the SPCA. Clearly a purebred husky puppy. Bet that’s something they don’t see every day!

I took one look at Frankie and I went, “A German shepherd with greyhound ears!” And that’s pretty much what Frankie’s mom thinks she is. She also thinks she’s about two years old.
We had some pictures of Bellatrix when she was just a wee sprout, but now she’s… well, an only slightly less wee sprout. And just as adorable. GO LOOK AT THIS PICTURE ON HER INSTAGRAM RIGHT NOW.
So, things have been a little quieter than usual here for the past few weeks. It’s because I’ve been really busy doing… well… a whole lot of things. One of which was utterly crazy even for me: I just went and bought an RV.
It wasn’t entirely spur-of-the-moment; I’ve been thinking about it for ages, for some specific reasons which I’m not going to get into on here. And I’m planning on spending about three months in the midwest, so it made sense to do it now. It’s just that everything ended up being very rushed and crazy and, er, expensive. And crazy. And did I mention expensive?
I’ll share some photos of her on a Sunday Switchup, hopefully this coming Sunday (if she isn’t at the repair shop over the weekend!) I call her the Lummox, after a surprisingly similar — except much less comfortable — vehicle that I designed for a role-playing game I played some time ago. Crazy how life imitates art sometimes.
Yes, it’s not a great picture. But this one is for Elizabeth, who asked if we’d heard of the breed, and I discovered that I had never posted one.
Plus, this has a picture of Shadow, who is an old friend of the blog. She’s the one with her nose buried in Shayna’s tummy.
So it’s funny: Havaworts basically look like two-tone golden retrievers. Golden retrievers have a gene called ‘recessive red’ which prevents them from showing any black on their bodies (except nose and lips and claws and a couple other places). I wonder if this is what some golden retrievers would look like if they didn’t have that gene?
Frogs the French bulldog(s?) is one year old, and glorying in his newfound privileges as an adult dog.
I love the phone number. Which century are they referring to, do you suppose? And as far as ‘UNderhill’, do you think they mean hobbits? Or ‘the fairies under the hill’?
This kitty isn’t always riding on people’s backs.
Edit: I didn’t notice, she has an M (for Marmalade!) on her forehead!
Finn is one year old, and he is both flippity and floppity! That is why his instagram account is @flippityfloppityfinn. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to go there, and check out his assortment of puppy pictures and schnozz schotts. Because they. Are. GLORIOUS.
