Every dog has his day; Marco has three! Yesterday’s preview, and his day from 2013. In that one we got to see the full extent of his length, in yesterday’s we got to see the full extent of his happy grin, and in today’s we get to see a couple of goofy expressions and lots of teeth.
He really does have a remarkable tail.
He’s a howler, and a barker, but he don’ mean nothin’ by it.
I can’t decide if I love the goofy grin or the floofy tail more.
Ran into an old friend today. I was pretty sure I recognized him, even after two years. He’s quite distinctive.
I’ll post more pictures of him some other time. Doing this one from my phone, from bed. Long day!
A few weeks ago, I was walking past the laundromat that is the occasional home of Cody, AKA laundrypuppy, when I discovered that Cody had a friend! I didn’t get her name, but apparently she shows up there occasionally because Autumn said she’d seen her there before.
I suspect Cody might have spent the day trying to keep up with a husky. Which strikes me as pretty tough.
I love that moment when a dog starts to yawn and it makes them look utterly shocked.
The husky saw me petting Cody, and of course couldn’t let someone else get the attention without getting some herself.
She must be a pretty well-behaved husky, because she had the run of the place, with an open door.

If you look VERY closely you can see just a teeny bit of tongue poking out of the husky’s mouth.
So looking through my pictures, I find that I have pictures of two unknown mix puppies that were taken on the same day, but notes for only one. So only one of them can be Jo… is it this one? Or the last one? You be the judge!
Look at those ears. Will the tips stand up fully when she grows up? And will she be able to actually fly, or just sort of glide a bit?
The expression I like to call the ‘Whatchootalkinbout Willis,’ or just the ‘Willis’ for short. Those of you who know what that means are probably too old, just like me.
Those little bitty brown eyebrow marks make for devastating puppydog eyes. Also note the barely-visible-from-this-angle cow spots on the puppybelly.
Here’s a little more belly. And then there’s that teensy white star on her forehead. Too cute!

Caught these two headed home after a big day at the surf dog championships. Although I’ve got to be honest: I’m not sure the pup didn’t like the car ride more than the spectacle.

Pugs can look so ridiculously pouty when they want to. And often when they don’t even want to.
I could not have asked for a more cooperative subject.

Okay, so actually Jo is an unknown mix. But 1) she is clearly great, 2) it doesn’t get much ‘wester’ than San Francisco, 3) she is very clearly an excellent dancer, and 4) I think there’s a good chance she has some Cocker spaniel and some poodle in her, so what better thing to call her than a ‘Cockadoodle’?
Oh, and in these pictures she was 4 months old.
So much floof. And I love the grapevine dance move.
It might look like mom is tugging Jo off her feet; the next picture (taken a fraction of a second later) shows what was really happening…

The kind of fur you just want to bury your fingers in.
Anyone want to give me a guess what this is? Or, rather, this is probably a piling of some kind, but… what ate it? And if there are things out there that do this to pilings, why are there any pilings left?
It really has been very thoroughly chomped down on.
Sea… worms? Ocean-going termites?
I keep posting grey tigers. Are there that many of them out there, or do I just unconsciously lean towards them?
