I am learning, slowly: I normally don’t take any pictures when it’s really dim outside, either due to time or fog/clouds. But I saw these two, and they were unusual enough that I had to at least try. And hey, a couple of them did come out okay.
Looey (male, 9) is the one trying to investigate the camera. Fuji (female, also 9) is shy.
They were right outside my favorite cheese shop. I think Fuji was partly shy, and partly distracted by yummy cheese.
Never seen a Dalmatian with eyes like that before. Not to mention the mascara!

I think I remember this fluffy gal as being a wheaten terrier, although my notes don’t say, and she looks a bit like a fluffier-than-average goldendoodle, too. So who knows? The reason my notes don’t say is because I was too busy giggling about how goofy and adorable these two looked while playing together to actually take any notes. Hazard of the profession.
Incidentally: if I took pictures of your dog, and you’re on here, and haven’t seen your dog yet, please leave me a comment and tell me what your dog’s name is, and what breed, and if you recall, about when and where I took the pictures. I’ll move them right to the head of the line!
One of them was definitely hers. Don’t recall which.
Taken while I was dealing with some of the worst of my kidney stone. These two helped my morale enormously.

The two alternated between wrestling and running up to just about everybody and demanding to be petted.

This coloration of schnauzers is so pretty. I guess it’s the same genetically as black-with-tan-points. Cool.

Beagle! I would never have guessed. But I gather she acts a lot like a beagle. Which I observed to be true, as long as ‘acts like a beagle’ includes ‘distributes smiles and smooches liberally’.
I have to take her mom’s word for it. I just don’t see much beagle in there.

What is he mixed with? God, I don’t know. Angora rabbit, maybe? He is definitely the most ridiculously fluffy dog of his size that I have ever seen.
Also… yay me. Passed my kidney stone early this morning. I am back to work the day after tomorrow. Unfortunately I still have some more lurking in my kidneys, and might be doing something about that in the near future, but for now, life can return to normal. You cannot imagine how relieved I am, unless you have had a kidney stone yourself.
It’s hard to get a good feel for the fluffiness because it’s all highlights from the sun.

Einstein is only two months old, but he’s already up to traveling with his mom. And licking anyone who gets within range.

No, that is not an antenna coming out of his back. There was a sailboat right behind him. And the shot was quite unintentional, although I like it.

I am pretty sure this is a Clark’s grebe, but it could be a western grebe, or possibly a soul-eating destroyer-bird. (Those red eyes… creepy!)
If it weren’t for the eye, this guy would look quite dashing. He even has a racing stripe.
I can’t decide whether the name reminds me of ‘the mome raths outgrabe’ or a mix of ‘Clark Gable’ and ‘Betty Grable’.
