The mind boggles a bit at the mix, but we’ve got pretty much all of North America from Alaska to Mexico represented here, so I guess it’s a good July 4th pup. And Lou is 3, and thus, like the United States, old enough to know better and not old enough to pay much attention.
Just like most of my subjects, I’m not a big fan of fireworks, and I don’t have anyone to go see them with this year, so I’ll be putting in some ear plugs and going to bed early.
Owen (4) is ‘something’ all right! Never seen an English sheepdog mix with fur like that but dad says he knows so I’ll have to take his word for it.
I’m not going to comment on this whole Twitter/Elon Musk thing in general, but man, it sure has put a damper on my discoverability. I’m going to have to figure out how to share posts on Instagram or one of the new Twitter competitors or something.
This is one of those dogs that I just wouldn’t have had the slightest guess at. Very distinctive!
Two little (well, not all that little) Shelties for your delectation today. Breezy (black and white) is 2, and Cloudy is 14! Cloudy is a bit grumpy sometimes, but she seems to be doing pretty great, all things considered.
I ran into them at the farmer’s market, where they have an important job guarding the veggies.
These two are cute enough to make a man give up pork… although, to be fair, I haven’t eaten much pork in years, so it’s not a big lift for me.
I ran across them on a farm in the Santa Cruz mountains. Amazingly, though, they aren’t the first pigs we’re run across on this site, though these are the first that didn’t have pink painted toenails!
They would make such amazing pigs if they never got bigger than this…
Living in San Francisco is funny sometimes. I wandered off in the direction of work this morning, only to find that there were a hundred or so police lining part of my route. I paused to see what all the fuss was about, and watched Biden drive by in the giant bulletproof presidential limo. All less than half a mile from my apartment.
Rumpleminze (3 months) was almost certainly not impressed if he happened to be around at the time, although if he was, he almost certainly did try to play with any police, onlookers, and/or presidents who happened upon him.
Be Rumpleminze.
Rumpleminze. That’s a new one on me. But, having looked it up, it sounds delicious.According to mom, I was ‘taking my life into my own hands’ with those sharp puppy teeth. Amazingly, unlike in many other cases, I wasn’t even NEARLY perforated.
I don’t think we’ve ever had two features of the same dog in this short a time before! But, just a couple of days after I posted a picture of an anonymous little cute fuffy dog in a window, I found him out in front of his place relaxing with his family, so I had to stop by and get the deets! Turns out his name is Marley, he’s around 12, and he’s not a maltie-poo: his mom was a Jack Russell Chihuahua mix and nobody knows about his dad. But I’m going to guess he was probably a Maltese.
