For some reason, huskies seem to be named after Norse gods a lot more often than any other breed. I’m guessing it’s some combination of the ‘cold weather’ connection and the fact that they simply are that awesome.

Yes! Aiden, also known as @dogonatrain, is a poodle/Labrador retriever/Cocker spaniel/poodle mix: yes, that’s a DOUBLE QUARTER POODLE! (One parent was a poodle/Lab, and the other was a Cocker spaniel/poodle.)
Aiden is a hugger and a leaner and a smoocher.
I thought maybe he was a parti-poodle, or a mix of one, but apparently the spots came from the Cocker grandparent.

He’s big! Like ‘German shepherd with no legs’ big. Seriously. I don’t know what he’s mixed with but he’s AWESOME.
I ran across this pup while I was walking by a dog grooming parlor in Arizona. I saw him in the window and just had to run in and ask about him. Turns out he’s the dog groomer’s own pup!
There is nothing like a boxer for the puppydog eyes.

I am back from my Arizona excursion, and in time to post a cat from two weeks ago. Meet Bobby, an unusually adventurous kitty. He loves bus rides, likes greeting people and getting petted, and enjoys going for walks. Needless to say, I adored him.
Perhaps a Maine coon mix? I hear they sometimes like going on walks. Certainly not floofy enough or big enough to be a full Maine coon, though.
The two of them seemed really plugged into one another.
Even when the cat got somewhat manhandled, he didn’t show any signs that he cared.
This kind of expression on a cat in a place he isn’t used to is really rare.
I ran into Lou where I’m visiting, in Phoenix. I haven’t run into a lot of Phoenix dogs this time, but I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far.
He looks like the kind of dog who would leap all over you. I knelt down in front of him and he leaned forward and gave me a very small smooch on the nose, and then just let me pet him. A perfect gentleman.
All of his expressions are goofy.
I am off at a data science training in Arizona, but I just have to post Conor. Conor is Autumn’s folks new pup, adopted to be Begley’s calmer and more sensible younger brother. (No, seriously. Begley is a nutbar, and Conor is less of a nutbar.)
I have never seen an Irish doodle before! They are gorgeous.

I ran into Teddy just this morning! She’s 16 weeks old, and she adores grass. And loves people. And playing in the grass with people.
She is named after an old movie, Theodora Goes Wild. (And no, it’s not that kind of movie.) And let me tell you, Theodora does indeed go wild.
I did get a chance to play some with the pup, but she spent most of her time running around…
…and rolling around.
