I really think this guy could be the spokes-dog for some product or other. Maybe a tavern? “Eat at the sign of the Smiling Shiba Inu?” Or perhaps he’d prefer something a little more in line with his own interests…
Ecco is a huskeranian, or a husky Pomeranian mix, and a more unusual or gorgeous combination it is hard to imagine. He looks like he ought to be some kind of desert fox or coyote or something. And he sure blends into the background nicely, doesn’t he?
Oh, did I mention he’s a puppy? 6 months old. So soft.
My new favorite tag line, coupled with one of my favorite-ever business names. Complete Fabrications is a San Francisco metalworking firm that does custom work. I ran into (in the figurative, not literal sense) one of their trucks and just had to get a picture of it.
Sorry about the double dose of quiet: Friday was a busy day, work capped with some dog-sitting for Autumn (she had two different dog-sitting clients so I helped out with one). Then Saturday was some training for a long dog-sitting gig Autumn has to take care of Tidus, then I had some volunteer work for most of the day, then a Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen concert in Los Gatos, an hour’s drive away. Long and very tiring couple days.
Well, plus it didn’t help that I’m almost out of cat pictures, so I wasn’t sure what I was going to post for caturday even if I did have time.
I totally can’t wait to dogsit Tidus, by the way. He is such a goofy sweetheart.
Meet Diesel, Yorkshire terrier of distinction and note, and his mama. Don’t they make a gorgeous pair?
Another breed mix that was reported by the human, in this case mom. Basenjis are pretty unusual dogs around here, so I wouldn’t immediately guess ‘basenji German shepherd’, but Kona does have the build of a slim sighthound, and the tail and face look a bit basenji-y too. And I can definitely see some German shepherd (or Belgian, or a similar dog) in her too.
Regardless, she’s got a very noble look to her, don’t you think? I ran into her while walking in the rain, as you can see, but she didn’t mind at all. I was quite wet, and she was damp, but didn’t seem to mind at all. She looked picturesque as all get-out standing up there on the wall like some kind of canine goddess statue. And amazingly calm and quiet, especially for an 11-month-old puppy.
