Double Dog Day: Two Foofly Wieners!

I did not get their names, because I ran across these two tied up outside the Crossroads Cafe. But they sure did have a lot of personality.

Dog of the Day: Bailey the Poodle

Bailey’s 14 years old! He doesn’t get around so well any more, at least not after the first couple of miles, so mom got him a very special halter/suit/carrier. Seems like he’s not wholly sold on it, but I think he prefers it to not accompanying her around at all.

Dog of the Day: Nico the Repeat Customer Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Oh my GOD it’s NICO!! He was ridiculously hilariously adorable when I ran into him almost exactly one year ago. (July 3rd, 2013, to be exact, when he was 4 months old. Go. Go look at the pictures.  Trust me, you want to. It involves the spotty puppy belly OF DOOM.) And now he’s… still ridiculously hilariously adorable. But bigger!

Caturday Supplement: SPCA Kitten

Dropped by the SPCA, and what did they have but more kittens! This one played with me for like five minutes, with me popping a finger up above the frame of the window and him batting at it through the glass, before I took these pictures. As you can see, he found something else to amuse him quite quickly.

Double Dog Day: Henry the Pug and Baby the Chihuahua Mix

I dogsat last weekend, and it was for these two little monsters!

Actually, they were quite well-behaved, aside from trying VERY VERY hard to push me out of bed all night. And that wasn’t because they were mean, it was because they wanted to cuddle closer and closer and closer. But they were surprisingly methodical about it… one of them climbed under the covers and lay pressed against my knee, and one climbed under the covers and pressed up against the side of my chest. And then they just pushed, very gently, all night.

Henry was very interested. (Besides chocolate, there’s nuts and dried raspberries in there.) But he must be well-trained because he never even looked like he was going to try to get up onto the table. And obviously it wouldn’t have been hard.

Double Dog Day: Two Unknown Mix Puppies

I recently visited the SPCA to donate some things to them. (I already donated the money from last year’s t-shirt sales… these were some donations of towels and chew toys and stuff). While I was there I saw these two, patiently waiting to be adopted. I’d say hurry over, but I suspect they’re probably already gone… they were too adorable to stay for long.

Double Dog Day: Clarabella and Sophie the Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian Mixes

What a combination! Clarabella (4, in the orange collar, which you can barely see) and Sophie (6) are from the same parents, but obviously different litters. I can’t imagine why I see so few Pomeranian mixes, because they’re common dogs, and they’re so adorable. These two were mostly blurs, hence only the one picture, but boy were they cute and happy.

Yorkaranian? Probably better than ‘Pommie’, which sounds more like a fruit than a dog.
