I’m having trouble with this one. Almost looks like a golden/Great Pyrenees mix or something, though the’s pretty small for that.

Someone must have trimmed this guy’s toehawks.

I don’t have many of these this year, because I was out of town for a lot of the time, and sick for some of the rest of their tenure. I’m going to have to hit up my coworkers for kitty pictures this year.
I can’t believe I never heard about Le Marcel! It was apparently started in Seattle but is now in Pacific Heights (Union Street), and it is a dog bakery. That’s right. They have baked goods for dogs, including plenty of carob products that look just like chocolate. You humans will have to get your baked goods fix elsewhere.
They also have two mascots: an Italian greyhound named Marcel and a foofly wiener long-haired dachshund named Leo. If you squint a little, I bet you can figure out where the name of the bakery came from.
Well, I’d be on edge too if I had that keen a sense of smell and lived constantly surrounded by delicious baked goods…
Got about twenty pictures of Declan last weekend. Eighteen of them were blurry and two looked like this (only worse: this is after lots of screwing around with brightness and color.) But dammit, I want our first Irish setter, and Declan is an absolute adorable sweetheart that gives dog smooches, so to heck with it, you’re getting Declan whether you like him or not! (You’d like him if you met him, I promise.)
This doesn’t really do Declan justice. Maybe if we ask nicely we can get Declan’s family to give us a few more pictures of him?
Ran into Sterling on one of our hiking outings, last October. It was quite dark, so most of my pictures didn’t come out, but I got a couple of okay ones.
Poor Sterling. He was a rescue, years ago. He’s now 7, and he’s still scared of people. It breaks my heart seeing a scared Great Dane.
Back in San Francisco, as of yesterday evening.
Today, I had a long day: got locked out of my apartment (this morning at 10), and then left a credit card at a restaurant, and then found my credit card, and then got myself back into my apartment (this evening at 8). So, sorry for the late and short post, but… yeah. I’m tired.
So have an assistance dog I met in the airport on the way home.
My brother, Brad, lives in Phoenix, Arizona, a place I was able to visit for quite a short period on my way home from Indiana. His street has a little crowd of feral kitties living nearby… this is one of them, who camped out in the middle of the road when we were pulling in and decided not to move when the car approached. But ran away from me when I got within twenty yards. Go figure.
Is Zoe really our first full klee kai? It sure seems that way.
Autumn and I ran into this puppy on our way somewhere, and I grabbed a few pictures. And none of them came out, they were all too blurry, due to puppy hyperkineticism. Thank goodness, we ran into her again a week or two later.
