Hmm. Nope. Not a clue.

...especially for someone who obviously got (and loved!) so much affection. Must just be a facial features thing.
I have secondhand information that says that the pup on the right is a mastiff/pit bull mix, but if so, he sure doesn’t show much mastiff.
That’s okay, though. The other guy shows plenty of mastiff for the both of them.
Just a guess, but with the short legs, saddle markings, and insatiable appetite, I think I have a pretty good chance at being right.
I don't know what the deal is with his eyes. It's probably just an angle-and-reflection thing, I guess?
This guy’s a little bit on the mischievous side. The container marked ‘good dog’ is full of dog biscuits. But in theory, it’s the human that’s supposed to decide whether the doggie’s been good, and give him a treat if he has. In this case, the pup decided to short-circuit the whole process and snaffle the entire bowl of treats. (Well, try to, anyway. Dad was a bit too alert to let him do that.)
(Sorry for the short posts the last few days. Been having some computer issues, and some cell phone issues, and some sleep issues, and a visitor (my brother Brad… hi Brad!). A bigger one or two soon, I promise.)
A goofy golden with a twisty tail! Supposedly this pup is all golden, but I’ve never seen one with a tail that curly before.
Shelties are so poofly! And happy! And other things that require exclamation marks!
And so little, for a dog that was meant for herding sheep. Well, if corgis can herd cows, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that these guys can manage sheep.
These are more pictures from the dog-fest we went to in the Castro last month.
Some of the dogs were a little shy or overwhelmed by the large number of people and/or dogs. Not this one, though.
It was obvious that she found every single person around her to be just another potential source of skritches.
FLUFFY MALAMUTE BUTT!
Finally, a bloodhound! I was wondering when I’d manage to nab one of these. I know of a couple, but they spend their days in a furniture store that I almost never go by when it’s open. Only been in there twice, and both times they’ve been asleep. And I’m not mean enough to wake them up just to take pictures.
Also, this gal was in the process of being adopted from Rocket Dog Rescue. If you’re in SF and looking for a dog, make sure you check out their web page.
