Another dog from the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in San Francisco. This gal’s great, and is still in that awkward stage of adolescence. (As opposed to that equally awkward stage Great Danes have called ‘adulthood’.)
She's young, as I recall around 8 or 9 months old. So yes, she's going to get bigger than this.
She deserves a more elegant-looking bow, I think.
There were a few other dogs around, leaving messages.

The guy on the left is a Bernese Mountain Dog. I’m not even going to guess at the other two. But this tableau did make me laugh out loud, so I thought I’d share it with you.
I'm really not sure what makes me giggle so much at this particular photo, when I have dozens of similar ones. It's just... goofy.
This dawg was watching the Irish dancers at the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in San Francisco. She doesn’t look like she’s terribly into it, does she?

She's almost got that half-mask phantom-of-the-opera thing going on.

You’d think these guys would be more popular, what with them appearing in all those ad campaigns (Spuds McKenzie, the Target dog). And they seem quite pleasant, personality-wise. I have to admit, I think they’re kind of funny-looking, but I’m sure I’d get used to one quickly enough.
Half-black nose. Looks like the rest might be prone to sunburn, poor pup.
For some reason, they always make me think 'conehead'...
I think we ran into this guy before, although since it’s been over a year one might be excused for forgetting him.
This indifferent look lasted all of about three seconds.
As soon as he looked over at me, he leapt to his feet and then ran over and leaned against my legs. "PET ME NOW!"
If humans were as glad to see each other as this guy is to see them, we'd all be a lot happier.
He wasn't even sad when I left... he just stood around grinning at me as I walked away like I'd just made his day.
Poor pup. I’d hate to end up muzzled and tied up outside of a bagel shop for half an hour. 🙁
Looks like an assistance dog... but who muzzles an assistance dog? Let alone leaves it outside?
There's a little bit of 'the stare' in there, isn't there? Although it's a lot more effective with light blue eyes.
I ran across this pup in one of my more frequent haunts, the little parklet next to the ball park. My second kelpie there, in fact.

She was having a blast, fetching a dog-frisbee with mom.
She was tired by the time I got there, so she sometimes took a little while to hand over the frisbee.
After a while, she noticed I was standing there and not (apparently) doing anything, so she figured maybe I could throw the frisbee for her too.
I feel for ya, pup… I’m pretty pooped myself.
In that awkward stage between puppyhood and adolescence. When you're growing that quick, you need your sleep!

Is this really our first basenji? Hard to believe, but it looks that way. Candle doesn’t look nearly as worried as the typical basenji, does she?
Basenjis are sharp, in a lot of different senses of the word.
All right, she looks a little bit worried here. But still, nowhere near the usual level of brow furrows that basenjis can get.
Candle was being awfully good and posing nicely for us, so she got a treat.
Candle can be just as goofy as anyone else when the opportunity presents itself.
This pup was a target of opportunity… I saw her walking by just as I noticed the writing on the window. She was indeed a cute doggy.
Especially with that adorable spotty puppy belly. Aww!
And she looks so confused. Truly the hallmark of the boxer.
