Dog of the Day: Lucie the Schipperke

Dog of the Day: Bylka the Labradoodle

Bylka is four, and her name is the word for one kind of sweet bun in Russian. She is very sweet, and she has nice buns, so that seems appropriate.

Dog of the Day: Dipsea the Central Asian Village Puppy

Dipsea (10 months, male) is an immigrant from Russia! He came from a little village, and was born with crooked legs. When he was shipped over here, they broke them and reset them so they’d heal straight, and now he’s fully healed and he can run and play with other dogs and go hiking with his mom and dad. Which is where he got his name: there’s a trail called the ‘Dipsea trail‘ in the North Bay, and it’s gorgeous and quite a rough hike. I’m sure he can run it in a couple of hours, but I’m lucky if I can limp it in a day.

Dipsea is also known as ‘Dipsy-Doodle’, although he isn’t a doodle and in my opinion he isn’t even all that dipsy!

Caturday Supplement: Dotty Parton the Bengal Kitten And Friends

Dotty Parton has just about the best cat name I’ve ever run across. She was 12 weeks old when I took these pictures, and was out for a walk with her best friend, Saidie the Rottie. (Sadie was born on Valentine’s Day of 2020, and is every bit as sweet as that would suggest.)

Dog of the Day: Lando the Awesome Mutt

According to Lando’s dad and his handy dandy DNA test, Lando (1) is a German shepherd/Australian cattle dog/Brittany spaniel. Quite a combo, and you can see a little of each of them in him.
